ELSIE FICK & GEORGE CLARKE

1.8 ELSIE FICK (ROBERT⁶, JOHN⁵, JOHN⁴, JOHN³, JOHANN DANIEL², JOHANN HEINRICH¹)   was born on the 12th of May, 1894, in Douglas, Isle of Man, and died on the 7th of January, 1978, in Toronto, Ontario. She married GEORGE METCALFE CLARKE on the 25th of August, 1914, in Toronto, Ontario.  He was born on the 11th of April, 1891, in Douglas, Isle of Man, son of JOSEPH FRANCIS and MAGGIE CLARKE.  He died on the 11th of February, 1925, in Toronto, Ontario.  Both are buried in St. John's Norway Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario.

NOTES on ELSIE FICK and GEORGE METCALFE CLARKE:

 About 1915 George joined his brothers-in-law, Walter and Robert Fick, and Reuben Horobin, as a Conductor for the Toronto Street Railway Company. In 1916 they all took leave of absence from the TSRC to volunteer for service with the Canadian Army.
